The Five Regions of Virginia

Virginia is divided into 5 Geographical Regions; The Tidewater Region, The Piedmont Region, The Blue Ridge Mountains, The Valley & Ridge Region, and the Appalachian Plateau Region. These regions have helped shape Virginia's history. In the each of the regions, people built their lives in different ways based on the resources and available land. In order to understand Virginia's past, we must understand it's land and geographic regions. 

Your Assignment

• Read through the website to find out about each region of Virginia
• Use the notes sheets to record the information
• Once you have taken the notes, use the information to fill out and design one of the Region Template pages (post card, website, Instagram, job description, or newspaper article)
